About 14 miles from our shop on Ponca Street in Baltimore. Mobile service six days a week, with shop bays for the work that needs them.
Timonium and the Hunt Valley area north of it sit on the I-83 corridor, which carries a steady flow of freight between Baltimore and central Pennsylvania. The business parks along York Road and Beaver Dam Road hold distribution, manufacturing and service operations that run their own delivery and service fleets.
I-83 itself is the defining feature. It is fast, it has long grades, and southbound units coming down toward the city work their brakes and cooling systems hard. Overheating and brake related calls on that stretch are more common than the traffic volume alone would suggest.
Access from the shop is straightforward up I-83, and the York Road corridor gives good options for bringing a truck somewhere safe when the shoulder is not suitable.

Learn moreYes, from Padonia Road north through the Hunt Valley parks and out along Beaver Dam Road. Give us the exit number and the business park name and we will route straight to you.
The southbound grades put sustained load on both. A brake system that is marginal will show it there before it shows it anywhere flat, and a cooling system with a partly blocked radiator or charge air cooler will run out of margin on a hot day going down that hill.
Yes, subject to where the truck stopped. Sections of I-83 have narrow shoulders and fast traffic and are not safe to work in. We will ask for the mile marker and direction of travel and be honest about whether the truck needs relocating first.
Yes. Scheduled maintenance carried out at your own yard, with findings recorded by unit number, is what most of the operators up here use us for.
