Why operators keep calling us back

Nothing here is a slogan. Each of these is a decision about how the work gets done, and you can hold us to all six.

The fault gets proven before parts are ordered

We connect on manufacturer software, capture live data and test the component the code points at. Repeat repairs are a diagnosis problem, not a parts problem.

Service trucks that arrive with the parts

Common tire sizes, batteries, air components, belts, hoses and filters ride on the unit. That inventory is why most roadside calls end with the truck driving away.

Hours we actually keep

Open six days a week, 6:00am to 4:00pm, and closed on Sunday. We would rather publish the hours we work than a number that sounds better and leaves you calling a machine.

Measurements written down, not check marks

Brake stroke by wheel end, tread depth by position, fluid conditions. Numbers you can trend, and a maintenance file that survives an audit.

DOT work done by qualified inspectors

Annual inspections on tractors and trailers with the documentation and the decal, plus honest reporting of what we found and what you declined.

A straight answer when the repair is not worth it

If a job belongs at a dealer under warranty, or the truck is not worth the money at that mileage, we will say so rather than quoting it and staying quiet.

Covering Baltimore and 30 miles around it

30 communities across Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel, Howard, Harford and Prince George's counties, worked from the shop on Ponca Street.

Worked from 1200 Ponca St, Baltimore, out to roughly 30 miles in every direction.

Each area page lists the distance from the shop, the roads through it and the work that comes up most there. None of them quotes a time to reach you, because that is a promise about traffic rather than a fact about us.

How a call actually goes

No mystery to it. This is the sequence from the moment you dial to the moment the paperwork lands.

  1. 1

    Call or send the request

Give us the location, the unit, what it is doing and whether you are loaded. Those four things decide which truck we send and what goes on it.

  2. 2

We confirm what it needs and what it costs

You get the call out fee and the labour rate before anybody rolls, and a straight answer about whether the job can be done where the truck sits or needs a bay.

  3. 3

Repair on site, or a tow if it needs one

Most calls are finished where the truck sits. If it cannot be done safely there, we tell you straight away rather than billing hours on the shoulder.

  4. 4

    Invoice, records and follow up

An itemised invoice with parts, labour and the measurements taken, filed against the unit, plus follow up on anything that still needs shop attention.

What customers say

Owner operators, drayage fleets and local operators from across the Baltimore metro area.

We run eleven tractors out of the port and used to lose a day every time one needed a brake job. They work through our yard on a schedule now and hand back stroke measurements on every wheel end. Our roadside call outs are down by more than half since we started.

Questions we get asked most

Class 6 through Class 8 trucks, tractor units, dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, tankers, chassis and vocational vehicles including dump trucks, mixers and roll offs. We also handle medium duty straight trucks and box vans for local delivery fleets.

Both. We run mobile service units across the Baltimore metro area six days a week, and we have shop bays for work that needs a lift, an overhead crane or a controlled environment. Roughly two thirds of what we do is completed without the truck coming in.

Yes. Dispatch is answered Monday to Saturday, 6:00am to 4:00pm. Nights and weekends account for a large share of our roadside work.

We work from Ponca Street in Baltimore and cover roughly a 30 mile radius from there, so the city, the port areas and the inner Beltway ring are the shortest runs and places like Columbia, Owings Mills and Aberdeen are the longest. We will tell you honestly where a unit is and what the run looks like at that time of day rather than quoting you a number we cannot control.

Yes, in most cases. Our mobile units carry the software to command a stationary regen. It needs a location with clearance around the exhaust because temperatures get very high, so we will not do it in a tight spot.

A service call fee covers getting a truck and technician to you, then labour and parts on top. Dispatch quotes the call out fee and the labour rate before we roll, so nothing on the invoice is a surprise.
